Day care covers the hours you can't be there: your dog arrives in the morning, spends the day with activity and company, and sleeps at home. It's what you need if you work long hours away, and also for a young dog who still finds being alone too long.

Is it suitable for a puppy?
Yes, as long as their vaccinations are up to date (we suggest from three months old). It's one of the best ways to socialise and learn. It's worth checking what policy the provider has, since the minimum age varies from one to another.
What if my dog doesn't socialise well with other dogs?
Say so when you book. Some day cares work in small groups or with separate shifts. Putting a reactive dog into a big group doesn't help them, which is why some providers offer services designed for that specific situation.
Do they come back tired?
They should come back tired and calm, not wired. A dog who gets home overexcited usually means too much stimulation and too few quiet stretches during the day.
