Where it all begins

Domisik wasn't born in a meeting room or in front of a spreadsheet. It was born among welcoming barks, tails that never stop wagging and that unmistakable look in the eyes of a dog who, little by little, begins to feel at home even when far from their own.

i. The garden

From a 1,500-metre garden to an idea that kept us awake at night

Before we were entrepreneurs, we were carers. Running our dog hotel we learnt what no app can teach you: that caring for an animal isn't a service, it's an emotional responsibility.

We built a secure, enclosed site with more than 1,500 m² of garden where the dogs could play freely. But what really defined us wasn't the square metres, it was the detail: respecting each guest's mealtimes and type of food, looking after their sleep cycles, keeping up their little daily routines. Because we knew that being somewhere unfamiliar can be hard for them, and our job was to make that stay as easy and as happy as possible.

That care brought a reward that appears in no financial projection: trust.

Very few of them didn't come back.

Many of our guests no longer arrived frightened: they arrived running, like someone coming back to their second home.

ii. Fostering

A foster home on the way to a real one

Our hotel was also a foster home for rescue charities. Three dogs passed through our garden in search of a family, and all three found a home where they get the love they deserve. Behind each of those stories is something that changed us for good: a direct relationship with rescue charities and with people deeply committed to work that so often goes unseen.

The animal world is full of good people doing extraordinary things… who almost never have the tools they deserve.

iii. Listening

Listening before building

As owners of our own pets, we've talked to vets, to groomers, to retailers. As professional carers, we listened to dozens of clients telling us their fears and their needs. And as users of the apps that already exist, we've lived them from the inside: their strengths, but also their gaps and the things that could simply be done better and more fairly.

There is no platform that covers, responsibly and ethically, the needs of everyone in the sector. Not the owners, not the professionals, not the brands, not the rescue charities.

iv. The purpose

Need becomes purpose

Domisik is the answer to that gap. We didn't imagine it in theory: we built it from the experience of getting up at dawn to feed, of comforting a frightened dog on its first night, of watching a family burst into tears of joy as they adopted.

We bring together two worlds that rarely meet: solid technical ability, with more than a decade building technology, artificial intelligence and product, alongside real, lived knowledge of animal care, with years running a dog hotel in direct contact with rescue charities, professionals, families and animals.
