Rehabilitation
Hydrotherapy session
In water, weight stops being a problem: an animal that limps on the ground can work its muscles without punishing the joint. Hydrotherapy is used mostly after surgery, in arthritis and in overweight, always with a plan behind it and under professional supervision.

Frequently asked questions
And if my dog doesn't like water?
Getting in is worked on little by little, and the water treadmill is usually accepted better than the pool because the water rises slowly and the floor can be felt underfoot. Forcing them in ruins the therapy.
What cases is it used for?
Knee and hip post-operative recovery, dysplasia, arthritis, neurological problems and excess weight. In all of them the aim is to move without loading weight onto the joint.
How many hydrotherapy sessions are needed?
It depends on the case, but rarely fewer than six to ten to see functional change, at one or two a week. A one-off session doesn't build muscle.
