Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation plan
Recovering from an injury or surgery is a process with phases, and each phase has its exercise and its limit. The rehabilitation plan puts that in writing, sets goals and reviews them. It's what prevents the most common mistake: doing too much as soon as things look better.

Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from one-off sessions?
In that there are phases, goals and reviews. A one-off session relieves that day; the plan says what's being aimed at each week and when to raise the demand or stop.
How long does a plan usually last?
From six weeks to several months depending on the injury. It's reviewed by phases, and normally the last one is the longest: holding on to what's been gained takes less effort but more time.
And if the animal seems recovered sooner?
That's the moment of greatest risk. Seeming recovered and being recovered aren't the same: most relapses come from going back to normal activity as soon as the limp disappears.
