Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy session
Animal physiotherapy works on the same things as the human kind: mobility, pain and strength. A session combines manual techniques and directed exercise, and adjusts to how they respond. It usually takes consistency; one session on its own eases, but doesn't recover.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a vet referral?
It isn't always compulsory, but it's advisable: the physiotherapist needs to know the diagnosis so as not to work on an injury that needs something else. With a report in front of them the work is better and safer.
Does it work for an older animal with no specific injury?
Yes, and it's one of its best uses. Maintaining mobility and muscle mass in a senior delays the moment they stop getting onto the sofa or seeing out the walk.
Can I do anything at home between sessions?
It's part of the work: you're almost always given simple exercises to do daily. A good part of the result is there; the session alone progresses far more slowly.
