Vaccination
The vaccination schedule isn't the same for everyone: it depends on the species, the age, whether they go out into the country and the area. At the appointment you check what's due, it's given and their record is updated. It's also the moment a vet gives them a general once-over.

Frequently asked questions
Which vaccinations do they need?
The compulsory ones depend on the region, and the recommended ones on their species, their age and their life. A dog that goes to the countryside or to boarding needs different cover from a city dog.
And if I've missed the date?
You pick it up again. Depending on how much time has passed, the initial course may need repeating rather than a simple booster. The vet decides, looking at the record book.
Can there be a reaction?
The norm is a bit of lethargy, sometimes a slight fever, and soreness at the injection site for a day. Facial swelling, vomiting or difficulty breathing are an emergency and you go back immediately.
