A cat left alone for hours gets bored, and boredom in a cat looks a lot like a behaviour problem. The play session brings the stimulation to them: wands, chases, height and rest, in the order that works for them. Without moving them from their territory, which is where they're calm.

How long is a session?
Between twenty and forty minutes, but what matters isn't the length, it's the rhythm: short bursts of hunting with pauses. A cat doesn't play for half an hour straight — it hunts and rests.
My cat doesn't play, is it still worth it?
Usually it means they haven't found their toy, or it's being offered badly. A cat that «doesn't play» is often a cat whose toy is being moved towards them instead of away from them.
Can it be combined with the feeding visit?
Yes, and that's the norm. Many visits include food, litter tray and a spell of play in the same call. What each visit covers is agreed when you book.
