User preferences

Last updated July 2026

Domisik has two places for preferences, and it pays not to mix them up: the general preferences of your account (set once, they apply to everything) and the preferences of each profile (independent for every profile you have).

Which one do I need?

Tell us what you want to change and we’ll tell you where it lives.

What do you want to change?

Step by step

Step 1 of 4

Open the user menu

Tap your avatar, top right, and go to ‘Preferences’.

General account preferences

These belong to the account: you set them once and they apply to all your profiles. Open them from the user menu (your avatar, top right) → ‘Preferences’. Changes are saved straight away.

Sign-in with MFA always onasks for a second verification step every time you sign in, for extra security.
Languagethe language of the interface (Spanish for now; we’ll be adding more).
CurrencyEUR, USD, GBP and several Latin American currencies; it sets how you see prices.
Time zoneso that booking and message times match yours.

TipLeave MFA switched on if you sign in from several devices: it’s the simplest way to protect your account.

Preferences for each profile

Every profile you have (family, professional, organisation) has its own preferences, independent of the rest. You’ll find them inside your account, in that profile’s preferences section.

Notificationswhat this profile tells you about and through which channels (in-app, by email…).
Visibilitywho can see the profile and how you appear in searches.
Plus other settings specific to the profile, depending on its type.

TipIf you have several profiles and an alert you were expecting hasn’t arrived, check the notifications of that particular profile, not just the general ones.

Which one do I need?

Quick rule: if it’s about sign-in security, money or time zones, it’s a general account preference. If it’s about how one particular profile behaves or is shown (alerts, visibility), it’s a preference of that profile.
