Cancelling a booking
Updated in October 2026
You can cancel a confirmed booking from its details. What you get back depends on the service's cancellation policy, which you see before booking, on who cancels and on whether the service has already started.

Step by step
Step 1 of 3
Open the booking
In ‘Bookings’, find the booking and tap ‘View details’. If it's confirmed, you'll see the ‘Cancel booking’ button.
In detail
The cancellation policy
Each professional chooses their service's cancellation policy: Domisik's automatic policy, where you pay less the earlier you cancel, or their own notice-based tiers, always with a maximum set by Domisik. You can see it on the service page and, with the amounts and dates for your booking, in the summary before you send the request. The policy in force when you sent the request applies: later changes don't affect your booking.
If you cancel once the service has started, you pay for the part you've had plus the same amount again (at least 20% of the price), and the rest is refunded. A fixed-price service is payable in full once it has started.
What's refunded
TipThe refund goes back to the card you paid with. It arrives within a few days, depending on your bank.
Force majeure
There's a closed list of force majeure reasons, provided they're unforeseen and documented: for example, the death, hospitalisation or serious illness of you or a close relative; the death, an accident or a serious illness of your animal; or an officially declared emergency. Changes of plan, trips, financial reasons and booking mistakes don't count. The details are in our cancellations and refunds policy.
If you haven't paid yet
If the professional has already accepted and the booking is under ‘Awaiting payment’, you can tap ‘Give up this booking’. There's no refund because you haven't been charged anything yet, but the place goes back to the professional.
Withdrawing from the contract
If the professional is a company or self-employed, you have 14 days from when they accept the booking to withdraw without giving a reason. Use the ‘Withdraw from the contract here’ link in the booking details: before the service starts you get everything back, including the ‘Domisik service’ and the dokens; if it has already started, you only pay for the part provided. If you cancelled within that period and got less back, write to us and we'll pay you the difference.
